Bangladesh cricket legend Mashrafe tests Covid-19 positive

Bangladesh's former captain of national cricket team and country's legend star cricketer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Mashrafe, also the incumbent lawmaker of Narail-2 constituency, has been suffering from fever for last two days.

He gave sample for coronavirus test on Friday night. Result of the test came positive today [Saturday].

His younger brother Morsalin Bin Mortaza confirmed it to local media. 

"My brother is in home quarantine now. I urge all to pray for his quick recovery," Morsalin added.

Bangladesh on Saturday confirmed 37 more deaths from the novel coronavirus and 3,240 new cases of infection testing 14,031 samples in the last 24 hours.

With this, the death toll from the deadly virus rose to 1,425 while the number of total infections stood at 108,775.
