Here is his full letter :
Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina Wazed, Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
Your Excellency,
My organisation, the International Movement for a Just World (JUST) is deeply concerned about the deteriorating health condition of the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Begum Khalida Zia who is incarcerated in a government prison in Bangladesh.
Doctors have certified that she requires urgent and effective medical attention. Though she is being treated, it appears she requires specialist care at a specialist center which is not available to her on a constant basis at the moment.
International law on the treatment of prisoners to which Bangladesh subscribes would demand that she is accorded all facilities within the means of the state. If such facilities are not available in Bangladesh, she has the right to proper treatment outside her country. A just and equitable response to Begum's health condition on the part of the government would help to enhance Bangladesh's image in the eyes of the world.
We remain hopeful that you will act with your heart.
Sincerely,
…….............................
