23 suspected Rohingya held in Dhaka

Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police detained 23 suspected Rohingyas from a house in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka in the morning hour on Friday.
The accused Rohingyas are believed to have taken shelter in that house located in city’s Khikhet area, according to police source.
During the raid, the plainclothes police also arrested the son of the house owner for interrogation.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khilkhet Police Station Mustafizur Rahman told journalists that a team of the DB police raided a house in the early hours of Friday and arrested 23 Rohingyas from the house.
He said the DB police took them to its Mintoo road office in the city.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman told detectives held them with 56 passports from Madhyapara, Khilkhet around 10am, the Daily Star reports.
The report added that the detained two women were believed to have been imparting Bangla language training to them.
