Naya Diganta celebrates 16th birth anniversary

Country's popular Bangla national daily, the Naya Diganta, is celebrating its 16th founding anniversary today [Monday].

"Since its launching in 2004 till the date Naya Diganta is trying heart and soul to march forward with its slogan 'everyday with truth' despite various difficulties many times", Alamgir Mohiuddin, editor of daily Naya Diganta said on the occasion.

He added that Naya Diganta has been facing severe interruption from the ruling force in the way to raise its voice for truth. "They always try not to open the truth before the people".

"But Naya Diganta never compromises with any ill motivation and always struggles for people's right to know", Mohiuddin added.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary the office of the Naya Diganta has been decorated with a festive mood.

People from all walks of life including politicians, lawyers, journalists, columnists, doctors and the like have been gathering at Naya Diganta office premises since morning.

They have wished for more success of the newspaper in the days coming ahead.

The well wishers have thanked Naya Diganta for its unique contribution in the arena of media in Bangladesh.

When self-censorship, political pressure and influence of mafia groups are affecting the quality journalism in Bangladesh, Naya Diganta is fighting uninterruptedly against all evil forces.

They urge the authorities to continue its position in favor of truth and ensure quality journalism keeping pace with the demand of the modern world.
